Damian Lillard doesn’t think Game 2 loss was his last at Oracle Arena

It was a battle of the Currys on Thursday night at Oracle Arena, and it did not disappoint.

Steph Curry’s Warriors came out victorious over Seth Curry’s Blazers in Game 2 of the Western Conference finals as Golden State came from behind to win 114-111 and take a two-games-to-nothing series lead.

Steph and Seth both rose to the challenge in the thrilling game, which did nothing but enhance the Curry brothers storyline as the series shifts to Portland for Game 3 on Saturday.

Older brother Steph got the most important stat, a win, and carried the Warriors with a game-high 37 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists. He hit four threes and went 11-for-11 from the free-throw line.

But for most of the game, it looked like younger brother Seth would be the hero.

The less-heralded Curry was a game-high +13 in the plus/minus and poured in 16 points on 5-of-9 shooting, including 4-of-7 from beyond the arc. Seth hit a clutch 3-pointer with 1:03 left to briefly give the Blazers a one-point lead, before Steph’s Warriors scored on consecutive possessions to ice the game.

Interviewed by ESPN’s Doris Burke after the game, Steph explained what the experience was like.

The two combined for the second-most points by brothers in NBA playoff history.

Twitter had a field day with the battle of the Currys, which included Seth stripping Seth on multiple occasions and some light trash talk.

Mama Curry changed up her pregame cocktail routine because she was too nervous.

The Curry parents in the stands didn’t know what to do.

Seth Curry was making all younger siblings proud.

Nets guard Spencer Dinwiddie knows there’s more than one Curry who can play.

But despite Seth’s monster game, Steph got the last laugh — including a shoutout from his sister.

Even Magic Johnson weighed in (albeit with a slightly inflated point total for the two-time MVP).

I’m sure this is just what the Currys dreamed of growing up in their backyard — twitter hot takes and all.
